Manami YamadaManami Yamada, after working as a graphic designer, began her career as an illustrator with “Temtem to namae no nai usagi” (Temtem and the No-name Rabbit) published by BL Shuppan in 1996. Her first picture book, “Umi wa donna aji?” (What does Sea Water Taste Like?) was published by Random House Korea in 1997. In 2005 she participated in the Summer Atlier held by Vicente Ferrer at the Itabashi Art Museum in Tokyo. Her very original picture book “Akamedama-chan” (The Red-eyed Girl) was published in Media Vaca’s collection of “Little Red Riding Hood by 21 Artists”. Her latest picture book, "Grandma Nosehair", whose illustrations were selected for the Bologna Illustrators Exhibition, was published by Parolsha in 2009.
