Yukiko Hiromatsu

Yukiko Hiromatsu was born in 1963 in Los Angeles, USA, but grew up in Tokyo. After working as an editor, director of a BUNKO (home library for children) and chief curator at Chihiro Art Museum, she has been working as a freelance writer, critic and independent curator, She has also acted as a jury member for national and international awards of picture books. Her books include: picture book texts: “The Welcome Home Egg”, “A Happy Day”; retelling folktales: “IMA-MUKASHI EHON” (10-volume series); translation: “Mother Duck Journey”; research and edit illustrations: “Fragments of Memory – Takeshi MOTAI Museum”, “ton paris”, “All Living Things –Yasuo SEGAWA”. She was a jury member for the Bologna Illustrators Exhibition 2010 and a selection committee member for the Bookstart Japan 2012 – 2013.
